Never going to happen. The world wouldn't survive that much awesome. Credits would roll at the end, and then...nothing. Life as we know it would cease to be.

Could tf2 really stand up to requiring a story though? I mean...the shorts are little condensed bits of total badass, but a full length movie? I don't think its possible. though it isssss valve....

No.
That's... all I can say. I really, really don't want to see Team Fortress 2 and any other titles heading for the gutter. From what I've seen in the past, any movie inspired by a video game and vice versa, ultimately ends up awful. I don't see how this will be any better, if Valve is going to do it. Oh, sure, they make good little trailers for the classes on Team Fortress 2, and fine cinematics for Left 4 Dead, and cool games with awesome stories like Half-Life... but really? Movies...? I hope they're actually kidding about this one.
Please, let movies stay traditional, and allow them to develop from books- you know, where actual stories are developed? Not some game with a very, very vague story, and was only meant to satisfy multiplayer competition.

ah, but how many of those movie/game movies were made by a certain despised director?
alot of them,
IF they can keep it out of that ones hands, there MIGHT be hope for a tf2 movie to be "decent",
if he gets it however....well.....ya, just get brainbleech ready
