Macro Question

My delicious keyboard has a number of Macro keys, they are nice but I want to know something...
If I want to bind a command to something in a game I have to bind it to a regular key first (like "o" or "p") Then after that I press the macro recorder on the keyboard and it records what keys I press, so if I press "o" I can execute that command with the macro now.
BUT I DUN WANT TO DO THAT!
Is there a way so that I can get my macro keys to work like NORMAL ACTUAL KEYS? I don't want to fill my keyboard up with bind commands if I can just directly fill up my macro keys with bind commands. This would work wonders on HLSS cause I could fit as many files I want on it without compromising my entire keyboard. IS THIS POSSIBLE?!

Checked online, couldn't really find anything. Granted, the only one I really checked for was the Logitech G15 (the previous model).
You usin Logitech G15? Or Microsoft Sidewinder (Or I see that they got a new one out, Reclusa)?
This thread is relevant to my interests as well.

Can't help you much there as I only have a 1st-gen G15. I have most of the function keys mapped to voice commands. I even got an overlay to put between the keys. Maybe I'll snap a pic sometime.
