The Classless Update: Stepping Sideways to a New Low...

As read on TF2's official blog:

After setting a new standard for Lack of Class in an FPS with the addition of Jarate (the jar-based Karate), we've raised the bar on lowering the tone even further with the first ever Classless Update!



One bit of amusement I had while reading: I could envision Stephen Colbert reading this synopsis and gesticulating for his captive audience. The writing sounds like his writers' style.



For my fellows who remain vigilantly true to the honorable (or foolish) method of earning our hats in-game, maybe this means we will have a marginally greater opportunity coming soon! One can only guess..

Expect the update to be released in about a week... knowing how Valve usually hype up those updates. I wonder if there would be new general achievements too, I hope for that at least. And that the system for obtaining hats is changed.

In other words it's soon to be impossible to store every item in the game in your loadout.

I think they are just going to implement the beta changes, plus maybe another map (and of course these hats). Dunno if there was anything in the beta notes about a new sniper melee. Don't think so...

Probably can expect that new spy suit. Hopefully tweaked to a balance level.


Spy in a bowler? Awesome. Heavy in ushanka, Engi in cowboy hat and pyro in firemen hat? Awesome.

Not a typo: they're using the term 'truth bomb.'

I'm wondering: could you build a Zeppelin from a toolbox? Replace the sentry, it floats up to the ceiling or a prearranged height, and fires cannonballs? No upgrades, no reloading, but it can't be sapped, either.
