I doubt it's legit as I expect any Twitter account actually owned by Gabe would read OM NOM NOM NOM, basically 24/7.

None of the Valve related Twitter accounts are real on twitter as far I can tell. Hell, I mean the unoffical Valve twitter account links to footage of full L4D2 being played... before it's official release.
Plus Twitter now have a system to confirm if a certain user is a celebrity or not. That's not the case for this Gabe Newall account.
