At least Kotaku is reporting on two interesting stories.
One is that Dead before Dawn, the Mod for L4D original will be released by Halloween. For those unaware, its a mod that is supposed to faithfully recreate the mall from Dawn of the Dead. Also appears the modders have found a way to introduce a 5th character, according to their site. Dunno if this means 5 people can play at once, or if there are just 5 character choices.

Also, The final two campaign names and posters have been released. Hard Rain looks awesome. Inclement Weather always makes stuff way cooler.

Oooh very nice, can't wait. Dead Center looks like a mall level while Hard Rain is... an industrial plant during bad weather I guess? Either way both look awesome.

All the L4D campaigns usually end up with like, the focal point poster map being map 4, finale being map 5, and 1 - 3 lead up maps so we can assume that the Industrial plant looking thing will be 3 - 4, finale around 5. I think the mall will be maps 3, 4 with 5 being a rooftop escape ala no mercy though, with 1 - 2 being leadups/city maps.
Either way, they look great. I looooooooooove stormy weather maps.

Id kindof like a mall set in a suburban area rather than a factory district. but a mall is nice none the less ;3. the 5th character thing reminds me of the rumors back during i think it was the survival update when people said there would be a dog character.
Leave us snipers alone we just wanna snipe other people in peace D:

Now I am confused.
Does this mean they are giving us 5 campaigns? Something seems fishy here...
The Parish
Swamp Fever
Dark Carnival
Dead Center
Hard Rain

According to L4D2 wiki, this is correct, valve is putting 5 campaigns into this one instead of 4. More reason why it is awesome and not the stuff people have been complaining about.

Yeah, I believe Valve has said L4D2 will include 5 campaigns on release, they just haven't confirmed Dead Center and Hard Rain yet. For anybody who hasn't seen it, www.zombicidal.com has A LOT of information about L4D2, even some possible spoilers in the campaign section so be sure to watch that.

Sonofabitch, Valve. I wanted a mall campaign for L4D, but noooo. You had to go and keep it for L4D2, you bastards.

Information about L4D2's realism mode has been released. Looks like it removes the auras around players and items (unless you're "right on top of them") and also makes any non-headshot hit less effective.

I think we can assume shotguns will be god in this mode, with their ability to completely cut people in half
