TF2 Mouse sensitivity

Don't know how to get out of spawn? HLSS plays sounds really slowly? Or you need a dispenser? Come here!

...I have the MX518 too, had it for couple of years now.

I originally bought it as a laptop mouse, but I switched to it as my primary mouse because the HP mouse that came with this computer was so shitty.

(reason I bought it as a laptop mouse was that the other cheaper mices I found were usually stupid or "smaller")

So for say Sniper, would a higher sensitivity be wiser, or lower?

For me? Lower. Much, MUCH lower, unless I feel like wheeling right past that nice line of marching heavies, and shooting a wall ten feet away.

^ this is exactly why I have the zoom_sensitivity_ratio .75 in my autoconfig. without the minor looking change from 4 to 3, it's infinitely harder to snipe.

I have mine hot keyed to drop from 4k to 1600 when I'm sniping.

As for how long I've had it, just shy of 4 months. Got it when the optical sensor in my Mx518 gave out (had the mouse longer than I can remember).

Screw that!
I'm in college! I need to save money where I can!
I've been using my latop touchpad ever since I first got TF2 back in I think it was April... I've tried a regular old $30 mouse once, but maaaaan it was like having to learn the game all over again. (At that time I didn't have a comfortable desk space to use anyways... even though I have a desk and chair for "proper" computer usage, I still often find myself playing with my laptop on my lap sitting on my bed... ah~, it's so confortable~)

As for settings IIRC I keep it at 7, that seems to work well for me. Able to turn around fast enough in most situations, but not so high I have trouble aiming to my side. Quick strafing still is a problem though, so that's why I can't bring my melee/pyro/scoot/spy to the next level. :/ (You get used to the jerkiness...)

Both Taross and myself have a Trust Predator ( http://www.trust.com/products/product_detail.aspx?item=15080 ).

I think I have mine always set to 1200 or so. With one of the thumb buttons set to say 'Thanks' for any class.
I had the other thumb button set for duck+jump but I don't play soldier anymore.
