What model of Linksys are you using? If it's a WRT54G, look on it's label to see if it's a version 5 router. If it's a version 3 or 6, or a WRT54GL, you should be ok, but a version 5 is crap and may be worth replacing.

I have a WRT120N. Is that a problem?

I just did some research, and yes, it's your router. The 120N is a bottom-of-the-line, worse than any Actiontec (which is bad on Steam refreshes), Linksys router that only partially supports 802.11n wireless. It will only support 2-3 systems on it, and no consoles.
Ditch it for a Linksys 160N. You'll get much better support for games and all Wifi standards, but additional features that are unlocked w/different firmware.

It normally lists for $70, but Newegg has it up now for $50 and free shipping.

Okay, I'll check it out. What's your opinion on Arris brand modems?

Since your modem is separate from your router, you don't have to worry about it. I have no opinion because of it; the modem is just there to push data down the line.
