BUG: Get ready to... wait some more to respawn

Don't know how to get out of spawn? HLSS plays sounds really slowly? Or you need a dispenser? Come here!

You know the deal. You're playing, you get killed, and you wait.

And wait.

And wait.

You never respawn. The countdown goes 3... 2... 1...
2... 1...
9... 8... 7...
ad nauseum.

The work around is to change class, and for me it always happens on TFP4. Half the time it's on a full server.

Yea, we aren't sure what is causing it atm. We think valve broke something again :(

Others on TFP4 are having this. It's a mess. Better send word up to Valve.

You actually don't have to change class to fix it, if you pick the class you were already playing as it'll respawn you. Still, you have to open up the class menu and that's annoying. >:c

It's probably shenanigans to do with the wave system. I believe the plan is that it tries to respawn people in groups rather than one at a time (so people move as a group and don't trickle in to get picked off one by one), so the respawn time increasing is it adjusting for other deaths.

Munchlax: I did that... and still had the same bug. :(

Arclane: I'm not sure that's the case. Usually with waves, it's a delay that doesn't get extended. This extends it ad nauseum.

Happens more often on CP style maps. the bug can be worked around like you said, but another way is to verify your catch files before loading up TF2, something about that makes the issue go away for the night, but it gets annoying doing it everytime you want to play tf2.
