I play the medic at times, but I have "Spread the love" as motto.
...which annoys some people who is used to medics that follow them to their deaths.

Steam on Linux Native: "PENGUIN TOUCH MY GUN!" "THAT PENGUIN IS A SPY!"
"This is going to be a real piece of piss, you bloody Steam Linux player!"

I like the idea of buffing up teammates when we're getting to the front line so they won't *hopefully* die with one stray shot, but I prefer to be a fanboy medic. Find someone who'll do the job right, like Doom or Nikky, and stick to them (unless they've already got a medic, in which case I find the next best person... which is usually done by looking at the scores unless I know a newcomer to that round is good by their name.)

My personal favorite is when someone runs in front of three sentries (when you don't even have an uber) and then complains and blames their medic because they died. (And likely the medic died as well, unless they were smart and got the feck out.)
Nah, people here have usually been pretty good, though. There are a few people I'd rather clunk upside the head than not, for yelling for me when they had no reason, (I'm a healer, not an insurance policy,) but for the most part, I've had a much better time here as medic than..anywhere else.
(It's nice, not being yelled at when someone runs right into a crit, and dies..)
