Vintage Merryweather helmet would probably ruin it either way, the one idea I could see fit is if you could make the mask a bit larger so that the headphones/Whiskered Gentlemen would neatly be hidden under it (headphones would still show the particle effects, the whiskered gentlemen could have the monocle.)

Results from further twiddling with my dragon hat/mask.
Completely redid the spikes and cheek flares.
Took out several unneeded edge loops, and got the count down to 1028.
Included the misc.items 'Whiskered Gentleman' and 'Ear-buds' to show possible clipping issues.
...still waiting on a response from Robin Walker about their official stance on model clipping.
(I was surprised to find the WG is 959 poly all by itself!)

only the moustache of the "Whiskered Gentleman" seems to be a problem there, the rest of the model and even the earbuds seem to not have too much of a general issue.

ahahaha the dragon hat + monocle = classy dragon. Looking great Tehrasha. Can you make the dragon whisker things have jiggle bones?

It has been almost a month since I have updated anything, and truthfully, it has been almost a month since I had done -any- work on the hat.
That changed last night. I was determined that I would figure out how to export the hat and compile it so it would work in game.
Result!
Texture still needs a lot of work, and I dont have any jiggle bones in there yet...
But its working! *mad scientist laugh*

Done. Submitted.
I'm still not entirely happy with it, but I was afraid if I did any more to it I would break something.
I might submit it again as a stand-alone head. like the Fosters Facade, so it wont clip the filter on the side of the Pyro's head.
I also am not entirely sure how paint will work with it, though a friend did unwittingly model it for me last night, with his lime green w/ unusual effect on it.
In the end, I did not put any jiggle bones in it, as the whiskers are barely visible while moving anyway.
