Hrm. I can attest that I HAVE heard them in game while playing a soldier, I don't recall hearing them any other time, though I was only playing soldier yesterday anyways....

Could it be as simple as foreshadowing a Soldier vs Demoman Class Update? That makes no sense, but I can't think of many reasons for those specific sound files to play for those specific classes. Hrmmm.
