ya, i gotta say, idlove to bve able to access steam chat while at work, but of course no can install steam itself on work pc's

I wish you had the option to IM steam people without them being in your friends list

Hell, I'd like to seperate between "Friends" and "Playmates". I chat regurarily with... 4 persons and my list is 30 persons...

You can actually. Just go to their Steam ID page and click "send message" or something like that. You can also easily IM people through steam if you're in a group chat with them by clicking their name and clicking "send message" just like you would clicking someone on your friends list.
