One of my memorable movie moments is in the movie "Stalingrad", where Reiser - on the brink of death, on a freezing cold field - is holding the already dead Von Witzland and he's talking about the stars in the desert.

I don't know if there's a link, but there are so many powerful scenes from The Green Mile.

It manages to balance humor and action with those tear-at-the-heartstrings touching/sad moments. It usually doesn't happen with me, but this is one of the movies that manages to choke me up.

The end of Iron Giant, I only say this because I saw it last night. This movie is in my opinion the last great animated children's movie, when they weren't afraid of seriousness in film.

The end of Mad Max 2 : The Road Warrior; it's epic car chase/battle at the end of the entire movie, and without watching the parts leading up to it; you'd not get it one bit.
