Thinking of a hardware upgrade...

as the topic says, playing a beta and getting a slideshow, not so fun,
ive come to terms that I possibly need to start upgrading parts, bit by bit.
here is my pc as it stands now:
ABIT IP35-E LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard
EVGA 512-P3-N841-A3 GeForce 8800GTS (G92) 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor BX80557E6750
Western Digital Caviar RE WD1600YS 160GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive -Bare Drive
CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model VS4GBKIT667D2 G
so....recommedations? I think the videocard is ok, and 4gigs ram seems to still be "ok",
but that motherboard and Cpu, man, only dual core, I need betters.
so, what seems to be the standard now?
(keeping in mind, I R dirt ass poor and will be upgrading 1 piece at a time most likely)
