ok so just out of random curiosity if there was a game that was incredibly lopsided against you (much like a casino game where when you lose you lose something of value) yet there was a glitch that enabled you to place the highest bid possible yet pay the lowest amount would you use it? (and yes if you have pre-ordered Fable II i am talking about the fortune's tower glitch. fortunes tower= one of 3 pub games that allows you to get $ and stuff for the game prior to its release... potentially. without the glitch you are much more likely to go into debt rather than gain money...)

so a glitch that helps you and since it is not competitive does not harm anyone else's play. would you use it or ignore it completely?

Eh, no I don't think I would, at least not in Fable II. I remember in the first Fable as soon as I got to Bowerstone South I would play the card game until I had enough money to buy full plate armor and some kind of good sword, made the first few quests ridiculously easy but overall didn't really make that big of a difference. There is an instance though where I think glitching like this would be perfectly fine, and that's in Super Paper Mario where you are forced to acquire 1,000,000 rupees. The fastest way to acquire it was to run in a mouse wheel (just holding down right on the stick) for I kid you not, about 10 minutes. There were no glitches for this unfortunately :( Are the Fable II games really that hard though? And didn't they fix this glitch recently?

Are you able to go into the higher tables and tournaments? I've heard that the odds there are slightly better. It's up to you though, morality wise I don't really see an issue with it other than robbing yourself the thrill if you ever do win it big.

you have to have a high credit rating to unlock the tournaments and higher level tables. and the low level tables the glitch either gets you no return or very little return and is thus not really worth the time.

personally i use the glitch to get some money mainly b/c there is just this thing i have with debt. real or virtual i just don't like owing money for any reason it just bugs me don't know why but it does. under normal circumstances i wouldn't gamble b/c of this. but there is no easy way to earn money in Fable II unlike Fable I... not to mention the background music to the pubgames is Fable I's music, which in my opinion is awesome.

so because i want to be able to buy stuff and be an evil bastard to anyone i see for no apparent reason and then survive any following encounters with guards... i play the pubgames... b/c they are set for the house to have the advantage in every situation it results in debt more times than not and a way to pay it off is needed. best way to pay it off is by glitching or by winning (winning not just placing in) the top-tier tournaments which require the top credit rating that probably got you into debt to begin with.

and that is a story of IF you win the tournaments you get more gold than you would have by playing an equal # of hands not in the tournament.
