To be fair to those folks, Team Fortress 2 was in development for 9 years...oh that's right it was actually released...

Well... my feelings are very mixed about this.

But in a way I'm relived it's over.

*nudgenudges to AG*

Well, now the game can finally cement its rightful place as the Overlord of Vaporware.

As I said to co-workers when the news broke: They should release the material they've been working on for the past decade-plus. They won't, but I have a feeling that it would be just like the teacher asking the student to show what he did for his homework assignment over the spring break and seeing three out of twenty answered questions, doodles in the margins and chicken-grease fingerprints on the paper corner. :D

...how did you two know about my Spring Break reading list? >v>

Anyway, IIRC they do have the game, or at least part of it, in a playable state. It'll be interesting to see what happens to all the junk they've used to attempt to make this game.

It's gonna be intresting to see the drama dam break and hear what's been going on in all those years.

I mean, there's gotta be some dirt about what happened over the years. Already heard a story from a former developer that pretty much suggested that the project was going in circles.

Something like Lameduke would be neat, or a alpha leak... hell don't be surprised if that happens.

Artists Chris Smith, Trammell Issac and Layne Johnson have posted some of their concept work and renders from the game. Some of the images might be from other games though (bottom few of Trammell's and the second one in Layne's as far as I can tell). Doesn't look half bad.
