The VS look incredibly silly. It's the "Oh, I'm in a Crysis 2 nano-suit, ooooooh!" look, and frankly, it looks silly.

Oh my they just posted more info about Light Assaults;

Short version; there are at least three different kinds of jetpack - Standard, Icarus (lots of vertical movement) and Glider (parachute on steroids).

They have class-specific (Light Assault only, in other words) flashbang and smoke grenades, for stunning enemies and obscuring LoS.

They can use rifles, shotguns, and SMGs, but probably not heavier weapons.

Well I decided to change my faction choice from the VS to the NC. As I thought on it, I really like how the NC play more than the VS, plus they remind me of the EU from BF2142 (which is awesome!).

The fact that NC has a bird for their icon only helps their case. :3

Mosquitos! With what look like 2x2 missile pylons rather than 2x3 rocket pods.

VS Assaulting a Base;

Looks like a trio of Sunderers/Leviathans and Magriders, up against what might be a Vanguard and scattered NC forces?

Yea those are definitely different missiles than the pods we've been seeing on them. Maybe that's the AA config?
