I'm still debating whether to pick it up. It strikes me as highly derivative of City of Heroes, with a lot of similar animations and powers. There's no equivalent to the Blaster/Tanker/Scrapper/Defender/Controller classes, but the opponents, the environments, the general tone... Particularly with City of Heroes reaching the point that they're incorporating more and more of the things people have asked for over years, it feels like I'd be paying twice as much each month for the same game. And I have to admit I'm not really fond of the cel animation style artwork.

I've been thinking about taking a break from EvE and picking this up (use to play CoH 3 years ago), but... I don't know. I'm not really too large of a comic fan, and the time I have spent playing EvE has left me expecting a cold, unforgiving, environment and playerbase in an MMO, something the exact opposite that CoX had.

If it was 30 or so, plus monthly fees, I'd probably pick it up. But at 50, I'll probably wait...

**Edit 9/23/09** Apparently, the day after I make this post, Amazon makes CO it's deal of the day, at a 30.00 price point...
