Niko and I have established that the grass and water issues are apparently not independent- we've located a line where on one side, grass grows and water flows. And on the other, they don't. You can fix the water by using sponges to remove it and then let it flow in, which suggests there's possibly some sort of conditional flag that's not being set properly by the game itself. These dead zones seem scattered, and randomly-shaped. Attempts to go under have failed. Attempts to go over are... well we're waiting for the grass to grow all the way up there. We also have some instances of zombie grass- grass in shadow that doesn't die.

And 10,000 destroyed blocks (and quite a few constructed ones) later, I have a 2nd floor. Not sure what I'm going to do with it (although that hasn't stopped me from starting on the 3rd floor) but there it is.

Think I'll start by adding a floor.

Well there's very little I can do about zombie grass or water flow, that's something to report to the Minecraft dev, or maybe OMEN', the map utility I used.

Noted, and not a problem. Just figured it was something to clarify since we didn't know why it didn't work sometimes. Finding out that it's certain areas, and at least with water fixable, is useful.

I think Ailure might have been intending to check out Omen to see if that might be the cause. But I'm not sure.

Worth noting, it looks like the Survival version is developing fairly well now. Although I'm not quite sure how to feel about running around attacking exploding zombies while wielding a flower.
