Can we throw our boots into the rooms to check if they are safe?

Perhaps a way to slim down this, would be folks suggest 2-3 maps they think would work well for folks, a testing of those maps by a mix of our pro and novice players, then voting on said maps, rather than just blurt out loads and loads of smexy maps that might just sit and rot on the server like spam left behind a fridge?

It would make it easier for map-testing if proposed maps are prepacked with bz2 files, since that's the only compression format that TF2 supports. That way, I can add a map really easily to an server, while still making sure it's downloadable for people. Just remember we still have the odd "limited bandwidth over TCP" problem, but it works at least and should at least give a speed of 50 kb/s from what I seen (this makes it take 0.5-10 minutes to download depending on the map size).

That map is horrible, I've played it multiple times. New concept, but it gets old after the 1st time you play it. It's more of a DM type map rather than CP, because 80% of the people playing it have no idea where the cap points are so they just run around simply just to find someone, then killing them.

Can I suggest the availability to nominate maps other than valve default?
