I've gotten a free copy of Codeweaver's Crossover Games for Linux, as part of the Lame Duck Challenge give-away that melted down Codeweaver's servers. I now have Portal installed and I have not seen any problems at all! I'm checking Team Fortress 2 now.

Well, after some difficulties in install and configuring, I'm actually able to play a decent game on my Linux system. Wheee.

Yeah, it was only for that day, you had to get your email address in for the code.

I used to run Slackware Linux with Blackbox when I was in HS. What flavor do you run?
I'd like to start using it again (especially on one of my older PCs), but from what I remember of Wine it was horrible at emulating games. What is support like for Steam games on Linux?

I probably just try to have fun with getting it working with Wine instead.
Though crossover is supposedly simpler to use.
