Sorry about the mic problems...

I apologize for the noise I've generated on TFP servers. There is a bug that affects TF2 on the Mac since the last update; after a map change your mic sometimes spews noise when you push to talk.
Sadly there is no way for me to find out if it's spewing noise without actually transmitting, so I have to transmit at least once and have people tell me. At that point, I don't try anymore that session.
Today I was muted on a server by an admin because of the noise burst. I just want to make it clear I'm not griefing or anything like that. I'm hoping Valve patches this annoying problem soon; they are aware of it.
Thanks for listening and understanding!

A tip is to write "voice_loopback 1" into the console, that way you hear exactly how you sound for everyone else... and is a good way to find mic problems in TF2 as well. You need to enable the console under advanced on the keyboard tab in options to open the console.
