And if anyone wonders, the plugin default is actually 60%.

Getting back on track with the thread's original intent:

Unfortunately the idea of coding some sort of Friend-protecting scramble is actually a detriment to our scramble procedure. As Purple already noted, as a form of selective scrambling, it'd just cause problems. And it'd be a nightmare to set up anyway.

The plugin actually already supports "friend protected" scrambling, but turning it on would lead to more whining. :| Plus I'm quite sure it's one of the buggier features of the plugin too so...

Doesn't the Administrator not like friendship, saying it violates the contract? :)

I've noted my problems with the voting before. It's not perfect, and the chance of misvoting is high. Setting a threshold is a problem too -- how do you overcome repeated scramble votes that fail when you got two damn good teams that are meshing together... and the other team has Doom and the demovix allowing them to keep steamrolling.

Yes, there a good teams. And then you get TOTALLY AWESOME PRO PLAYERS; it's also why there's PRO v. PUB 6-on-9 events (which we'll have to do soon if this keeps up).

That said, there are triggers to force a vote to scramble when it detects a steamroll. These triggers are good. They can be extended to follow this rule: force a team scramble if the current makeup of the team does a full rotation through BLU and RED, and triggers the steamroll detection every start of the round.

Doom and I haven't been on the same team more than once this year.

In fact, all the overhyped snarking through 2008 and into '09 about Doom and me when all we wanted to do was play together caused us to have to stop doing it so much.

Current events please. -.-
