What Servers does TFP use?

Subject. What servers does TFP use? What company? Or are they all dedicated home computers?

Mmm, for the most part they're dedicated servers owned or donated to us.
Some are home, some are hosted in colos. But the answer varies from server to server.

Ever since the fiasco with Jimmy I've felt extremely awkward about playing on TFP, so I wanted to start up a sister server, so to speak, an "unofficial" TFP. Once I get settled into a new job, I plan to fork out the cash, and he wants to help pay and co-admin it lol.

1 & 2 (East Coast) are hosted by Endeav, 3 & 6 (EU) are rented out by Jonesy, 4 & 5 (East Coast) are hosted by Dakk using one of the old FA server boxes, and 7 (West Coast) is hosted by Sumi IIRC.

There are colos you can get a server from, they shouldn't cost more than $30 a month or so.

As mentioned, 3 and 6 are rented. The company I chose is Gameservers.com. Both servers are the basic 24 player TF2 package which is about € 29.95 per server per month.

If you do want to rent, I hear lowpings.net may be a good starter provider.
