At least it was actually something relatively practical. I have to admit I was expecting it to be some kind of ridiculous gimmick-y melee weapon, just to spite people getting all worked up about it.

With the boots, though, you take almost no damage whatsoever from rocketjumping. I'll probably stick with the Banner though.

I'll definitely go with the boots, for one reason: I suck at rocket jumping and need more practice.

I find the shotgun too valuable as a soldier to trade it away easily personally. But I look forward using the buff banner with teammates... when Valve actually gives me it. :/ I got the milestone for it, but never the item. ._.
