I'm not angry at Valve doing this even if I'm affected by it.

I'm just... little confused why they took so long.

So basically they're yanking all the ill-gotten gains, handing out halos, and answering the constant complaint about lack of drops.

On the upside, cool, I get a hat. And maybe more hats.

On the downside, why do I have a feeling this isn't going to reduce the amount of bitching on voice chat?

Because the bitching in voice chat was never about hats .

Anyways, like I said, They always make a post about something major like that, its not like idlers were gonna just start catching banhammers left and right without warning. Like Arca, I got nothin but duplicates from the program, though the people that still want to idle are going to do it, they will just do it on "servers" which are playing actual maps, once again circumventing the system. And if the increase in drop rate is substantial, they will be doing it in large numbers. again. Hopefully not on our servers.

Oh, there's been bitching about hats. Generally to the effect of "Has anyone else gotten any drops? I haven't gotten any." This inevitably leads to a comparison of the number of hats each person has, and equally inevitably, someone mentioning the Heavy wearing the football helmet and what they think of that particular fashion statement.

The whole situation makes me think on this.
