If it's just "no extreme sprays" then who sets the bar?

Is inflation okay? Why is it/isn't it okay? Because the admins aren't into it? Because people don't want to see it?
How about hyper?
Herms?
Gay?
Non-missionary?

There's no defined line as to what makes something "extreme" and what doesn't. It just goes way too far into a subjective system to allow one type of content but not another. Then we'll get into one admin saying it's okay, then another not saying it's okay, and we'll have little mini-shitstorms going off every time somebody comes on the server with a "questionable" spray. Then it will descend into "okay we can't decide on what's explicit so now ALL adult sprays are banned." Shitstorm rages. Then soon, all furry sprays are banned. Where is it going to end? Sometimes you just have to say enough.

It's not a matter of having "fun" on the server with or without sprays - many of us go on public, random servers all the time and play around and have fun. And we don't (always) take our explicit ZOMG WTF IS THAT furry porn with us when we go. The issue is that with this community we shouldn't have to restrict ourselves like that. It's supposed to be a MATURE "FURRY-FRIENDLY" server. Not everybody on the server is a furry, but even the ones that are, some of them aren't into babyfurs or herms or hyper. Do we see people who aren't into it asking admins banning hyper sprays? Herm sprays? No. They fucking ignore it or deal with it instead of bawwing until they ban them all together. We don't NEED sprays to have fun - but because of what this community is, I don't see why we should HAVE to play WITHOUT them, just because some pussies can't take a few furry sprays and cried about it instead of growing a pair.

I don't really give a damn if I pissed anybody off with this rant. These are my opinions. If you don't like them, well, maybe you can cry to an admin and have me banned, too. It wouldn't surprise me.

Taross I've lost a lot of respect for you. I know you probably don't give a crap, but whatever. Saying you just don't care about the community and only about your fun and the interests of these crying babies rather than the vast majority of people who are supposed to be your friends, clanmates and gaming partners - shows you have absolutely no regard for the any of them, and the community that's given you so much, and it downright sickens me to see that. And before you go off on another tyrade about how we haven't "given you anything", just imagine your EU server empty. I know for a fact that if you give in to these crybabies and ban adult sprays on even that server, I'm not going on it - on general principle. Closed-minded fucks like that are the reason it's so hard to live in the world these days.

ok my 2 cents on this issue.

i am of the opinion that porn sprays should be allowed not because they change the game at all (although wrenching people while they are distracted by the sprays is rather amusing...) but simply because it is a freedom and something we are all used to.

granted there should be restrictions on what is allowed such as no stuff that would go in the ah/ section of fchan. also just as a courtesy thing that we should ALL follow is if you have a porn spray that people find overly disturbing and that they ask you to remove it do so. for instance someone at one point in time had a 2 girls 1 cup spray... i personally find that kinda stuff disgusting, as do many others on the server. the majority of the people on the sever asked the person who sprayed it to remove it they did not. in this kind of instance said person needs to be kicked that is just my opinion.

people are just going overboard on solutions to the problem. some FOR members find some of the porn sprays disturbing, this is understandable, TFP people want to be able to spray whatever they like, this too is understandable. so to get a solution we compromise and have the incredibly hard core stuff found in fchan's ah/ or that people find overly disturbing not be sprayed.

and pony no offense but from what i've seen the majority of FOR are furs or people who just ignore the furry porn. if it is some people who specifically say that they don't play b/c of the furry porn sprays then tell them to turn off sprays. b/c for now the vast majority of people who play on the servers either don't care or want to be able to spray porn sprays.

you cannot please everyone there will always be something that pisses someone off. what next redeye can't play sniper b/c he gets too many kills? doom and nikkyvix can't use stickies b/c they destroy engineer's buildings too easily?

honestly prior to us leaving CC2's the FOR US server was dead. now that we use it it is regularly full. so where were these people that don't like the porn sprays at prior to the mountain of bull shit at CC2's? the porn sprays make things more interesting b/c they distract some people for just long enough for some damage to be dealt to them or for them to be killed. they just make things more interesting and amusing in general.

but i suppose what ever is going to happen is going to happen no matter what i end up saying. either way though could we PLEASE tone down the drama.

Well I'm on the fence for this one, I've privately state my own persona feeling and I'll leave it at that.

Some advice to you all: The "Freedom Of Speech" argument does not necessarily work in an international crowd like this one. Freedom of speech is a good thing, and should be a right to all yes, and it typically is given on sites and servers that run under US law, but keep in mind with the current Geo-political climate and all, FREEDOM OF SPEECH IS NOT GUARANTEED ON THE INTERNET.

While a Freedom of Speech argument may be useful in countries where a right is given, like the US, it does not necessarily work when dealing with an international community.

What is extreme and what is not is purely objective.

Some extreme-religious-right-wing-conservative fur (If there ever was such a thing... :V) could consider even a little bit of nudity within the grounds of extreme. Some people might consider even the most hardcore sprays to be normal. It's within the realm of opinion, not fact. Let's keep this grounded within the realms of logic, at least on what defines "extreme". If there's too much extreme stuff for you, just don't look at it. Turn off sprays. Whatever. It's not like someone is making you look at the one spray that you don't like.

Here is another question, which may or may not have already been answered:

Is this server a Democracy? Do we, the visitors, the people, the consumers, have a say in this? We've voted. The results are a consensus. Everyone either wants the sprays or doesn't even care.

Does what Taross say even matter? There is still porn on the server, despite all the drama going on here. It seems that this thread is constantly filled with drama as of late, and we haven't come to a conclusion.

This thread could go another 4 pages of furry drama before we reach a conclusion.

That's just my two cents. Nothing more, nothing less.

Doesn't really work with privately owned communities/groups like this either. They own the servers, they can set whatever fucking rules they want, or you can just do without. Even MMORPG games and whatnot strip away your basic human rights, because they can - because you want to play their game, and if you don't agree - you can't play. It's a Catch 22. If you want rights, you can't go where people don't want you to have them for their own purposes.
